O'Dea, Gertrude V. of New Milford was 86 when she passed peacefully on Saturday, February 15th. Born in Manhattan, Gertrude and her husband Edward settled in New Milford in 1960 where they became parishioners of the Church of the Ascension. Gertrude was the beloved wife of Edward Joseph O'Dea for 64 years, the loving mother of daughter Stephanie Fehnel and husband Michael, son Edward O'Dea and wife Barbara, and daughter Christine Delorme and husband Robert. She was the cherished sister of Muriel Schooner and predeceased by her brother the late George Allen. Gertrude was the adored grandmother of Jackie Steel, Michael Fehnel, Stephen O'Dea, James Delorme and great grandmother of Emily Steel. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
